Event
Overview :
On Wednesday, February 20th, at the Hotel ZaZa Houston, the Hon. William H. Hudnut, III, ULI/Joseph C. Canizaro Chair for Public Policy will join us for a talk entitled, “Priorities, Planning and Progress,” featuring a discussion of ULI's priorities of sustainable development, work force housing, and infrastructure, and the importance of planning that integrates these issues into future changes to land use patterns in the built environment. Mr. Hudnut is the former four-term Mayor of Indianapolis, IN and former U.S. Representative (R-Indianapolis), and is the author of the book, Cities on the Rebound, of which all luncheon attendees will receive a copy. Mr. Hudnut’s remarks will be informed by his recent experience in the Houston region, as he will also be here February 4th through 7th touring our region and interviewing elected officials, developers, and other local civic leaders as part of a ULI Advisory Services Panel sponsored by the Center for Houston’s Future (see more information about the Advisory Services Panel at http://www.uli-houston.org/newsevents.htm.
Also joining us for the luncheon will be ULI Worldwide President Richard M. Rosan, who will discuss the upcoming ULI Spring Council Forum, to be held May 7-9 in Dallas. The Spring Council Forum will be open to all ULI members in Texas and ULI Full Members from around the world, and will provide an opportunity to showcase all the great projects, innovative policies, and cutting-edge development that is happening in our region, to over 3,000 expected attendees.
