Dear Fellow ULI Member:

The previous year was one of tremendous growth and success for the ULI San Antonio District Council. Since we began organizing ULI San Antonio in early 2007, we have seen our membership explode from 82 members to 187 as of January 2008. We have held five major events, typically attracting over 170 attendees, featuring informative and high-caliber speakers including the following:

We have also held four Young Leaders Events, which have engaged our region’s next generation of leadership. Moreover, we have earned the confidence of some of San Antonio’s top companies who have come together as Founding Sponsors to support the organization, including:

As a result, ULI National approved the formation of ULI San Antonio in January 2008.

In order for us to continue to increase our outreach and impact, however, we need to keep growing our District Council, and make better use of our greatest resource: our members. ULI members represent—and are the leaders of—every sector of the industry, as well as the public and non-profit sectors; as a result, ULI member committees are well-balanced and well-equipped to seek out innovative solutions to land use issues.

Simply indicate your preference for service, complete the form, and fax to (713) 349-8812, or e-mail to jstuart@uli.org, by Friday, March 28, 2008.The ULI San Antonio Executive Committee will consider all member requests and determine committee makeup in early April, with committee meetings beginning shortly thereafter. Since committee sizes are limited, and a diverse mix of professional backgrounds is appropriate, not all first-choices can be accommodated.

Please also remember that the Spring Council Forum, ULI’s second largest conference of the year, with over 3,000 expected attendees from around the world, will be held in Dallas this year on May 7-9, 2008. All Texas ULI Members can attend, and we hope for a strong contingent from San Antonio.
